Ryan Reynolds Finally Dishes On Name Of Baby Number Three With Blake Lively

Privacy is a big thing for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, especially when it comes to their children. The couple never makes pregnancy or birth announcements, and they don’t post pics of their daughters on social media. When it comes to baby number three – who Lively gave birth to in August – the couple has been super secretive, and they haven’t revealed her name.

When the 43-year-old actor appeared on The Today Show this week to promote his new Netflix movie 6 Underground, he did open up about having a house full of women. But, when Craig Melvin tried to get the new baby’s name out of Reynolds, he claimed that they haven’t given her one yet. He then joked that there was a name, and it was incredibly unique.

“We’re gonna be original, and all the letters in her name are silent. I want to give her something to push against in life,” said Reynolds, with his signature sarcasm. Ryan Reynolds Finally Dishes On Name Of Baby Number Three With Blake Lively.

Melvin shot back, saying “she’ll be known as anonymous.” And, Reynolds replied, “Yeah, exactly.” 

Fans shouldn’t be surprised that Reynolds and Lively are keeping the name to themselves for a while. When their oldest daughter James, 5, was born in December 2014, the couple didn’t reveal her name until March 2015. Reynolds and Lively are also the parents of three-year-old Inez, and they took months to reveal her name after her birth in September 2016.

The couple kept their third pregnancy a secret until they stepped onto the red carpet in May for the premiere of Pokemon Detective Pikachu. Lively already had a massive baby bump, and was heading into her third trimester at the time.

Reynolds and the Gossip Girl alum didn’t announce their daughter’s birth, either. Instead, he posted a pic in October – two months later – that featured the couple holding the baby, but he covered her face with an emoji and talked about climate policy and the Canadian elections.

During the Today interview, the Deadpool star talked about life in a home with “all women,” and he said that he loves being the dad of three daughters and he “would have it no other way.” Reynolds also joked that his all-female family is just him doing his part to “wipe men off the face of the Earth.”

Reynolds did get serious for a moment and admitted it is getting harder to leave the house.

“I love it. It’s been incredible,” said Reynolds. “Leaving the house is getting harder and harder,” he said. “It gets a lot harder when they ask, ‘Where are you going? When are you coming home? Why are you leaving me?’”

Ryan Reynolds’ new movie 6 Underground will be available for streaming on Netflix on December 13th.
